[edit] Introduction
The Community View provides functionalities for building, managing and visualizing user groups and social networks. The current version of Community View provides the following functionalities:
- Create groups
- Add users to groups
- Modify groups
- Delete groups
- Delete users from groups
- Show group information
- Show user information
[edit] Create groups
- A group can be created in two different ways:
a) Select the “File” button on the upper menu bar and choose “Add - Group” from the drop down menu (see figure 1).
b) Right-click on the Community View area and choose “Add Group” (see figure 2).
- A popup window appears and you are asked to fill in some basic information for the group you want to create (see figure 3). Fill in the title of the group, a short description and select all users you want to add to the group. Note that users can also be added to groups as well as deleted from groups retrospectively (see Modify groups). Click OK to create the group.
- Finally, the group including links to all of its members is created (see figure 4). The blue link between user and group indicates that the user is member of the group.

c) Third way to add a member to a group is to create a link between user and the group. Select the user you want to be a member of the group. Right-click and select "Add to Group".
